Niceville native, Nicholas Ward, is a story of a “Local boy made good”! This talented singer and captivating performer has made a career for himself on the big stage – Broadway – and has performed in four Broadway shows!
Before Broadway closed earlier this year, Nicholas was scheduled to go on as Mufasa in THE LION KING. Prior to joining THE LION KING, he appeared in Disney Theatrical’s Broadway original cast of the hit musical FROZEN. He has worked with many Broadway greats, including Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth, Jessie Mueller and Norm Lewis.

With Broadway shut down until at least January of 2021, we are fortunate to be able to say that Nicholas will be visiting his old stomping grounds and gracing our stage here at Old Florida Fish House for two shows! Nicholas has trodded the boards with many great talents and examined many hidden musical theater gems in his work with New York City Center Encores. Some of these outings include Pipe Dream with Leslie Uggams, 1776 with Andre DeShields, Brigadoon with Kelli O’Hara, and Zorba with the late great Marin Mazzie, just to name a few.

Favorite Regional roles include Joe in Show Boat, Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Giant in Big Fish.

You can even catch Nicholas sharing the screen with the legendary Meryl Streep and Audra McDonald in the lively film, Ricky And The Flash.

Originally from Niceville, Florida Nicholas is thrilled to be returning to the area to perform under the stars at beautiful the north woods grounds at the Old Florida Fish House.
